Aterian Investment Partners is a private investment firm focused on investments in underperformers, turnarounds and unique situations in small to middle market companies. We seek to partner with businesses generating $25 million to $500 million in annual revenues, with strong, proven franchises in need of up to $50 million of capital.

Aterian invests in companies across a broad range of industries, with competitive market positions and valued customer presence that are financially, strategically or operationally constrained. These investments are used to assist management in executing its operating plan and building a platform for growth while enhancing value for all stakeholders.

Aterian’s principals have extensive experience investing in complicated situations including corporate carve-outs, under-performing companies, restructurings both in and out of bankruptcy, roll-ups, non-control debt and equity investments, and strategic corporate partnerships. Our goal is to collaborate with owners, management teams, creditors, employees, and other shareholders to solve complex situations using mutually beneficial solutions that drive value creation.

Aterian will use its fund to invest in both control and non-control situations across the capital structure in addition to bridging the entire purchase price, providing sellers the utmost speed and certainty of closing.
