Michael Fieldstone, Partner Download vcard

Mr. Fieldstone was previously a Principal at Apollo Management involved with the diligence of several investments including the closing of the $1.0 billion acquisition of Resolution Performance Products, a specialty chemical company of Shell Oil. Mr. Fieldstone began his career at Salomon Smith Barney as a generalist in the Mergers and Acquisitions Investment Banking group. Michael graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance and Accounting.

Mr. Bethea is a Partner at Aterian Investment Partners where he is involved with the investment and portfolio company activities of the firm. Mr. Bethea has been a private equity investor for more than ten years during which he has been involved in numerous transactions totaling nearly $150 million of capital deployed and more than $500 million in related financing transaction value. Prior to Aterian, he was a Principal with Insight Equity, an operationally intensive private equity firm managing $800 million of committed capital focused on investing in underperforming businesses. While at Insight, Mr. Bethea served on the Board of Directors or Board of Managers of five different entities and was a director nominee of a sixth entity. Prior to Insight, Mr. Bethea was an investment professional for three years at Freeman Spogli & Co., a Los Angeles based private equity firm that manages more than $2.0 billion of committed capital. While at Freeman Spogli, Mr. Bethea participated in a variety of transactions including an out-of-court restructuring for Hudson Respiratory Care, Inc. that included negotiations with banks, bondholders and other stakeholders regarding obligations greater than $200 million in aggregate. Mr. Bethea began his career as a generalist in Salomon Smith Barney’s West Coast Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance departments. Mr. Bethea received his AB from Harvard University. He also earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. Thomas is a Partner at Aterian Investment Partners where he is involved with the investment and portfolio company activities of the firm. Mr. Thomas’ extensive experience includes over 30 transactions throughout the US, Europe and Asia, consisting of leveraged buyouts, equity, debt and other investments representing over $400 million of capital deployed and over $2.0 billion in financings. His comprehensive corporate transaction experience spans across a diverse breadth of industries including chemical, manufacturing, consumer products and retail. Prior to joining Aterian Investment Partners, Mr. Thomas served as Principal at Sun Capital Partners, an $8.0 billion operationally-focused private equity firm where he primarily focused on investments in turnarounds, underperformers and special situations. Prior to Sun Capital, Mr. Thomas served as Vice President of Fifteen Group, a private investment company focused on turnaround multi-family real estate opportunities. Mr. Thomas began his career in the Investment Banking group at Oppenheimer in New York, where he executed various corporate transactions and financings. Mr. Thomas graduated cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Hunter is the Managing Director of Operations at Aterian Investment Partners where he is involved with the operating activities of the portfolio companies. Mr. Hunter has over 25 years of operating experience in a variety of industries and international locations. Prior to joining Aterian, Mr. Hunter was the President and CEO of Special Devices Inc. a specialty energetic materials supplier to the Automotive, Defense and Aerospace industries. Prior to Special Devices, Mr. Hunter held several executive level positions at Orica Limited, a world leading chemical company serving multiple markets. Mr. Hunter was Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, CEO and President of Orica Latin America and Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management. Prior for working for Orica, Mr. Hunter was the Market General Manager for Laidlaw Inc. and held several general management and marketing related roles with Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) of the UK. Mr. Hunter received his BSc. from Queen’s University and earned an MBA at the University of Denver. Mr. Hunter also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Prior to Corporate Partners LLC, Mr. Phan was an investment banking analyst in the Media & Telecoms Group at Deutsche Bank, primarily focused on leveraged buy-outs and debt capital markets transactions. Mr. Phan received a B.A. in Economics from Duke University, with a certificate in Markets and Management studies.
